Aaron Wendt drives the # 9a Mini Sprint; He has completed his 2007 season with a 3rd place finish in points. Aaron's home tracks are the Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City SD, as well as Heartland Speedway in Rapid City.
Aaron started his racing career in 2006, with his first car, which was built by the Legend Sam Liebig of Rapid City. Most drivers in this class drive a “sidewinder” style of sprint car, which the driver sits in almost the same as a go-cart style setting. Aaron's minisprint is an actual 1/3 scale design of a full size sprint car. It is often referred to as an “up right car”. Aaron feels this gives him great advantage in pursuing his future career in full sprint car racing, thus already receiving the experience of driving the same style car early to gain continued quality seat time.
Kasey Kahne has always been a favorite in Aaron's mind as a continued driver to follow. Aaron's goals have been to pace himself and his ambitions in the same interests as Kasey and challenge himself to attain the highest standard in sportsmanship and professionalism. Aaron's future goals are to move into the 360 sprint car division and most likely the 410 WOO circuit. Aaron has a strong faith in God and believes that no matter where he is and what he is doing, it is all a part of Gods’ plan for him to gain strength and knowledge in his career and life. Most of all Aaron desires to be a good example to others and keep it fun!
